Agnes Hapsari

Agnes is a pianist, singer, choir director, and music educator with degrees from the University of Music, Drama and Media Hanover in Germany and the Royal Academy of Music in Aalborg/Aarhus, Denmark.

Her love for choral music began at the age of ten in her native Indonesia, where she accompanied her school and church choirs on the organ under the direction of her father. After completing her secondary education in Jakarta, she moved to Hanover to pursue her musical studies. While studying jazz piano, she discovered her particular passion for directing pop and jazz choirs.

Alongside her work as a pianist and singer in cross-genre musical projects, Agnes directs several ensembles in Hanover. She is also a lecturer in Vocal Jazz Ensemble at the University of Music, Drama and Media Hanover and teaches voice, keyboard, and choir at the Hanover Municipal Music School.

Agnes creates her own choral arrangements and regularly leads international choir workshops in Indonesia, Germany, and Turkey.
