落水天 Lok Sui Ten (SATB)
$5.00
Lok Sui Ten was composed in 1997 at the invitation of choral conductor Nelson Kwei for the Victoria Junior College Choir to be performed at the Singapore Youth Festival choral competition. Prior to this piece, Goh had already written Reminiscences of Hainan, and was inspired to continue composing more pieces in Chinese dialects - Lok Sui Ten and Yu Ye Hua. Goh felt dialects were becoming less common as a language of communication in Singapore in the 1990s. Through these arrangements, Goh hope to rekindle in the younger generation, the sounds and nuances of these Chinese dialects.
