Vatara Artanta Silalahi started his music journey in junior high school as the church’s organist and enjoyed his choral experience from senior high school to university. Involved with the Diponegoro University Choir under the direction of Jefry Franklin Bode and participated in national and international competitions. Now an active member of Batavia Madrial Singers under the direction of Avip Priatna. Together with Batavia Madrigal Singers, participated in Tolosa Choral Contest 2019 and European Grand Prix for Choral Singing 2022, and many other concerts. Actively arranging and composing since 2019 for church choral works, and sacred and secular commissioned works. Latest achievements include 1st place winner of Equal Voice category and 3rd place winner of Mixed Voice category in the Satya Dharma Gita Choral Festival 2021 choral composition competition.
