Documented in 1986 by Dr. Elena Mirano during field research in San Mateo, Rizal, the song reflects the quiet, intimate world of a caretaker lulling a child to sleep.

The arrangement explores the emotional arc of caregiving. A gentle, pulsating underlay and warm harmonic writing evoke the sensation of being cradled. As the music unfolds, the texture lightens into a floating stillness, mirroring the moment a child finally succumbs to sleep. The repeated phrase “Tulog na” (“Sleep now”) carries the child into rest.
