This work was specially mentioned during the 47th International Composition Contest “Guido d’Arezzo” in Arezzo, Italy in 2020. Confutatis Maledictis, inspired from Mozart’s same work hailed from his “Requiem”, has a dynamic texture ranging from the softest and quietest passage to a thick and colossal choral polyphony that keeps the listeners captivated and enthralled with the piece.
This choral work is suited for a high level performance and competition because it gives the choir and the conductor the freedom to manipulate its interpretation using different choral techniques and styles.
