A Peranakan folksong arranged for developing mixed choirs. Like many folksongs in the Malay language, this piece utilises the Pantun, a Malay poetic form. Pantun poems always come in two parts, the first part being the introductory statement that has no immediate logical or the narrative connection with the second statement. However, they are always connected by rhymes and other verbal associations, such as puns and repeating sounds. The text in this cheerful and dance-like piece calls on everyone to be happy and carefree!
